This policy explains how PetitionDesk handles information when you use our drafting, routing, payment, support and informational services.
Information we process
Depending on the feature you use, we may process your name, address, email address, phone number, complaint facts, organisation complained against, issue location, prior-complaint details, generated petition content, support messages, payment references and transaction status.
We also process technical and usage information such as device or browser identifiers, page visits, feature events, approximate activity times, authentication status, IP-derived security information and error logs. Anonymous visitor statistics are designed not to use complaint names, email addresses or phone numbers as the counting identifier.
Why we use information
- To authenticate users and administer free or paid access.
- To generate, preview and unlock petitions and recommend a jurisdiction or delivery route.
- To process and reconcile payments, prevent duplicate transactions and handle support requests.
- To operate, secure, diagnose and improve PetitionDesk and measure aggregate usage.
- To comply with lawful obligations and prevent fraud, abuse or harm.
Service providers and disclosure
Petition information is transmitted to our application backend and AI service provider for generation. Google Cloud and Firebase provide hosting, authentication, databases and operational infrastructure. Flutterwave processes payments; PetitionDesk receives transaction identifiers and status but should not receive your card PIN or online-banking credentials. Google AdSense may process cookies, device information and advertising data on eligible informational pages.
We may disclose information where required by law, to protect users or the service, or to vendors acting under appropriate service arrangements. PetitionDesk does not sell the text of your complaint.
Retention, security and your choices
Information is retained only for as long as reasonably needed for the service, support, security, accounting and legal purposes. No online system is completely risk-free, so retain your own copies and limit sensitive data to what is necessary.
You may request access, correction or deletion of eligible personal information, or ask a privacy question, by emailing info@petitiondesk.com. Some records may need to be retained for security, transaction or legal reasons.
